Join our growing team of award winning digital experts as an Associate / Sr Associate to work on exciting brands through existing company digital platforms and products, specific client briefs, and new products in development.

We’re looking for a self-motivated and positive team player that is detail-oriented with a strong track record of working with marque brands. You must have a passion for and strong understanding of leading-edge digital & social media trends.

Ideally you’ll have a minimum of 2 years combined agency & client experience working in a planning / strategy and have strong communication and creative skills.

Excellence in ability to maneuver confidently & successfully within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and being able to balance creative expression with business objectives are all requirements of the position.

Desired Skills & Experience

Successful candidate will have a combination of skills sets to deliver on the following five areas:

China Digital Skills

  • Clearly understand the entire landscape of Social Media in China and have experience launching and creating campaigns on all platforms:  (ex: Weibo, TuDou/YouKou, Douban, BBS, Ren Ren, KaiXin, Baidu, QQ, etc)

Research and Strategic Planning

  • Deep experience researching and auditing brand and competitors across various social media channels, create summary analysis reports on which brands excel and why, make recommendations on how brands can win
  • Translation of research and online behavioural data into succinct relevant consumer insights and consumer engagement strategies for the online space
  • Reduction of brand and product attributes into unique, defensible and exciting communication messages
  • Taking creative idea platforms and architecting them into actionable online and offline campaigns that ultimately drive client’s business results

Creative Ideation

  • With account teams, develop exceptional cutting-edge creative concepts and big ideas through brainstorming and other creative techniques
  • Refining raw ideas into concepts and tactics that work within client’s budgets and appetites
  • Be part of a culture of creativity, inspiration, excellence and innovation within the local market account teams

Business Management

  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget
  • Work under pressure and ability to meet deadlines
  • Often times projects may not have clear objectives, be able to work under ambiguous situations and create a coordinated strategy/ action plan on how to meet objectives

Technical Skills

  • Deep understanding of social media strategy and tactics and how brands can use it
  • Good working knowledge of SEO / SEM theory and practice
  • Good working knowledge of web analytic systems and social listening platforms
  • Good practical experience of User Experience disciplines, techniques and deliverables
  • Experience in project managing site design & build projects
  • Experience of using data analysis in planning and campaign evaluation processes

Language Skills

  • Completely fluent in Mandarin Chinese
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English is a plus

Job Description of Asst Community Manager  / Community Manager

(Assistant) Community Manager

Role:

  • Build, maintain and/or participate in interactive communities for clients and their brands
  • Create, nurture and monitor conversations and relationships with individual members of online communities on behalf of clients
  • Set and enforce community guidelines that empower stakeholders to participate, while minimizing risks to clients and maintaining proper focus
  • Identify opportunities and threats in user-generated content surrounding client’s brand
  • Create compelling content and experiences that spur conversation and foster brand engagement
  • Help assess the performance and value of the community to clients over time
  • Work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with all members of the Connector team and with other specialist groups
  • Work with Catalyst and client teams to effectively route and/or address customer service issues that surface within online communities
  • Communicate online strategy and provide ongoing community management counsel to colleagues and clients

Competencies:  Media Savvy, Informed, Convincing, Live Online, Trend Watcher, News Junkie, Nimble, Persistent

Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; understanding the current and future social media universe, such as Weibo, Weixin, BBS, Facebook, YouTube, Wikis, blogs, etc; knowledge of best practices in online community management and writing for the web

Career Path :

  • Provide community support, coordinate logistics, assist with communicating with members of online community
  • Proofread and edit online content, as needed
  • Communicate directly with members of online community as the voice of the client or brand
  • Work on multiple projects at one time
  • Coach junior-level staff members
  • Oversee communication with members of online community, ensure consistent voice of client/brand, unearth online insights and trends
  • Support development of proposal documents and presentations for business development
  • Meet designated utilization targets
