Senior Consultant (e-Business Intelligence), Shanghai 资深顾问

Reporting to: Director of consulting team

Job Summary:

The Consulting function in OgilvyOne mainly supports the account service teams on strategic recommendations to Clients, but also works on specific project engagements. Consulting assignments are in the area of Brand and Customer Management, Database Marketing and Strategic Demand Generation.

The Senior Consultant is responsible for the general dissimilation of business related knowledge across OgilvyOne. He/She owns all knowledge related tools (Truffles, Industry Specific Research, etc) and has the responsibility to funnel this knowledge to the right teams. This candidate is responsible for increasing Truffles usage and contributions across the office.

The Senior Consultant works on specific Client engagements supporting Consulting and Account Service on either specific industry related business insights or general knowledge and insights about industries of key focus (Consumer & B2B)that help the team to get a deeper understanding of Clients business.

Occasionally the Senior Consultant will be involved in Consulting or Strategic Projects on Clients, working with the Consulting Team.

Main responsibilities:

Business Intelligence

Provide Strategic Business Insight Reports to specific Clients and across industries. These reports should be developed on a solid understanding of the related industry together with OgilvyOne’s business in order to provide actionable insights to potential business problems or opportunities.

  • Ability to translate data insights into marketing insights solving Clients business problems
  • Confident in working with other third parties and initiate and drive research projects
  • Interrogate syndicated and Client research material to provide answers to briefs issued by team or the client servicing team
  • Organize the agencies ‘intelligence and knowledge’ and facility access by all parties

Consulting

  • Confident in using and applying OgilvyOne’s proprietary consulting tools
  • Define a clear consulting scope based on business requirements
  • Develop key customer management strategies and understand implementation implications

Knowledge Management

  • Office owner of Truffles, OgilvyOne’s Knowledge Management System. Increase usage and case contributions of Truffles amongst all staff. Share relevant global cases.
  • Oversee completion of Customer Ownership Online Tutorial amongst newcomers.
  • Global Automotive Community Manager

Project Supervision

  • Produce fully costed Scope of Work proposals for projects and assure delivery on time and on budget.

Internal OgilvyOne

  • Co-operation with Client Service and Project Management Teams
  • Dissemination of Consulting related information and knowledge across other Business Units
  • Work closely with Group Knowledge Manager and other office Knowledge Manager’s.
  • Work closely with other strategic resources within the Ogilvy Group.

Requirements:

  • Master degree or equivalent.
  • Prior 3 to 5 years of marketing, consulting or research experience
  • Project Management experience in managing marketing projects
  • Understanding of direct marketing techniques, metrics, and reporting.
  • Demonstrated analytical and organization skills.
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills in English

Consultant, CRM, Shanghai 顾问

Reporting to: Director of consulting team

Job Summary:

The Senior Consultant (SC) is the key owner of specific Client Customer Management consulting engagements. The SC is a listener. He/She can effectively analyze clients business problems and translate them into effective strategic counsel.

The Consulting Services of OgilvyOne are mainly in the area of Customer Management. Consulting Services can either be in the nature of independent consulting projects (which then will be mainly lead by the consultant) or in relation to an on-going Client engagement (in which case the consultant will report to the key Client owner) as a strategic planning function

The job scope covers: involvement and support on key Clients to drive strategic excellence, support of account and other consulting teams, owner of the company’s key consulting tools.

On specific consulting assignment the SC owns and needs to deliver on a specified scope of work. The SC needs to work closely with other key groups data analysts, data consultants, creative, media and technology as required. The SC must master effective delegation, project and time management.

Main responsibilities:

Consulting

  • Provide customer management and marketing consulting services as professional service to Clients.
  • Be a strategic lead counsel to the Client service teams in order to uplift engagements on existing Clients.
  • Confident in using and applying OgilvyOne’s consulting tools (ie. Customer Ownership)
  • Able to translate data insights into marketing insights

  • Close co-operation with Technology and PM Teams on specific internal and Client projects
  • Dissemination of CM Consulting related information and knowledge across other Business Units
  • Close working relationship with Agency Planning Team
  • Member of the global consulting community

Requirements:

  • Master degree or equivalent.
  • Prior experience 3 years in Strategic Planning, Management Consulting, Interactive Strategy or relevant industry specific Marketing roles
  • Experience in managing large scale projects with successful track record in delivery
  • Understanding of basic direct marketing techniques, metrics, and reporting.
  • Demonstrated analytical and organization skills.
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Chinese native speaker (ideal)
  • Solid command of written and spoken English

Commercial Management

  •  With the Managing Director, responsibility the total revenues and direct contribution for the accounts in your group.
  • To work with the relevant parties to deliver the financial targets.
  • With the MD to develop the yearly business plan and monthly dialogue reports for all key accounts.

1 Personnel and Training

  • To ensure the development and appropriate training of personnel.
  • Responsibilities for the identification and recruitment of personnel.
  • Training and development of local staff to undertake/support the services we provide (in this case for the entire group).

4 Client Servicing

  • Managing and ensuring quality of our services to clients.
  • Management and handling of key client briefs, projects and requests. Including the refinement of the above.
  • The typical day to day management of clients and their requests including presentations, documentation, administration, etc. of clients activities.

6. Other

  • Development of close working relationships with other members of the Ogilvy group, and other WPP companies.
