GLOBAL – US-based Mead Johnson has consolidated its global creative account with Saatchi & Saatchi estimated to be worth US$500 million after a final two-way battle with Grey Advertising.
Six agencies including Ogilvy & Mather were also believed to be involved in the first round of the review.
Saatchi & Saatchi has been handling Mead Johnson’s creative account in Asia for the last six years. It is understood that the pitch was run out of New York. Sources close to the account say Mead Johnson will be Saatchi & Saatchi’s second biggest piece of business after Procter & Gamble.
This move will see Ogilvy & Mather, the incumbent agency in North America, lose its grip on the business.
Mead Johnson Nutrition a global leader in infant and children’s nutrition. Its key brands includes Enfamil and Enfalac families of infant formulas as well as regional children’s nutritional products, including Enfagrow, Enfapro, Enfakid, EnfaSchool, and Sustagen in Asia, and Choco Milk and Cal-C-Tose in Mexico and Latin America. Its main markets in Asia are Vietnam, Indonesia and Thailand.
