Hong Kong, 30 September, 2011 – Strengthening its senior leadership team, OMD Hong Kong has appointed Tanbir Rahman as Head, Digital. Working closely with Roid Sin, CEO, OMD Hong Kong, Tanbir will be responsible with leading online initiatives and developing specialized services in the area, enhancing OMD’s value proposition to clients.
Tanbir has more than 18 years of experience in the Asian mobile and Internet industry in senior leadership roles, having started his digital career in Hong Kong in 1993. Since then, Tanbir has occupied a variety of senior positions in international digital companies providing e-business solutions, mobile marketing services and digital strategies for blue-chip global clients like Intel,Citibank, and KLM. During his career, Tanbir has led two digital companies in Asia, one of which he started by raising capital from Intel Corp. Prior to joining OMD, Tanbir worked on consultancy and research projects for NGOs, helping them to harness the potential of digital and social media in raising awareness and generating income.
