Position: Senior Digital Planning Manager
Location: Shanghai or Beijing
Directly reports to the Strategic Planning Director (China) in Shanghai office.
The ideal candidates will have a solid relationship with the digital media marketplace and have circa 5 years of digital media experience in the PR China marketplace (at least 3 years of which as a planning or buying specialism).
Drive the adoption of digital within existing and new clients by delivering first class digital planning , optimization and result oriented solutions against client objectives.
Be Instrumental in delivering a constant stream of digital ideas, on-strategy, within budget and capable of being executed in conjunction with OMD Business Directors across China
Consult, collaborate, and support brand account teams to develop integrated media communication strategies and plans.
Manage a digital media training program to up-level current traditional planners to integrated planner expertise.
Ensure excellence in execution of digital media plans by setting up and managing an ad operations team, who are capable of reviewing results and recommending improvements in future campaign planning.
Advise on the development of tools required to maximize improvements in the quality of OMD Digital offerings to clients in planning, optimization, executional and results phases.
Be responsible for the Digital Planners development and training and quality of work across the 3 offices
Maintaining constant contact with the key digital players in the on-line and digital space and negotiating hard on digital costs and opportunities to add value.
5 years media planning experience in 4A agencies, good understanding of the work flow of advertising and preferably experience in other forms of communication channel – PR, CRM, etc.
Primary skills required are digital planning and operations experience across:
Experience of negotiating/buying digital campaigns across different buying models
Secondary skills/interest areas that would be beneficial but not essential include:
New technologies (e.g online gaming)
This sector is continually evolving and as such someone needs to be an embracer of such new opportunities
Good communication and presentation skills. Able to convince and influence other effectively.
Able to prioritize jobs & communicate these priorities to the team and motivate all members.
Proficiency in Mandarin, English both in conversation & writing.
Computer knowledge, especially PPT in English is a must
