Key Accountabilities

Leadership:

  • Mentor, coach, motivate and build a positive culture among the media systems team

2. Applications Architect Manager

Location: Shanghai

Key Accountabilities

Strategic Planning:

  • Be involved in the evaluation and selection of standard platforms and tools for development within China GroupM
  • Developand maintain architectural design guidelines and standards
  • Develop and maintain aroad map for each key application to incorporate continuous architectural improvement
  • Develop and maintain a road map for the integration of key applications
  • Guide the future direction of the application framework
  • Maintain an understanding of industry standard best practices and ensure these are implemented within GroupM applications as applicable

Application Design:

  • Review, suggest areas for improvement and be the final approver for all application design work
  • Ensure architectural design guidelines and standards are followed and all designs incorporate current industry accepted best practices
  • Perform the application design for changes that incorporate architectural improvements and/or implement the standard application framework

Application Review:

  • Proactively review applications to identify potential architectural improvements
  • Perform random coding reviews to ensure applications are being developed as designed and code is of a high quality

Developer Education:

  • Support developers with any questions they may have during the design of an application
  • Hold information sessions to educate developers on new technologies, best practices or other areas identified as helpful

Qualifications

3. Position Title: DevelopmentManager, GroupM China

Location: Shanghai

Primary Objectives

The main objectives of the DevelopmentManager, GroupM are:

  • Technical Excellence – have the acumen and motivation to continuously learn, embrace, and seek out technical challenges that increase his/her skills and those on the team, and to improve the overall work product
  • Leadership – guiding direct reports and his/her team through an orientation process, coaching employees on their job performance, giving feedback, and suggesting corrective action as appropriate
  • Strategic Direction – ask effective questions, apply what they learn across domains, understand broad business and competitive issues, and relate details to broader contexts.
  • Project Management – create accurate and effective schedules and deliverables; manage risks and dependencies, make timely decisions, and identify and develop relevant core metrics for tracking the project

Position Environment

This is a full time position (40 hours per week) where the incumbent is expected to be in the GroupM office between the hours of 9:00am and 6:00pm, Monday to Friday.

The developmentManager will work closely with members of the China applications team, the RDC development team and GDC development team.  They may also be required to liaise with external technical solution providers.

Key Accountabilities

Technical Excellence:

  • Led code reviews that reinforced team standards and improved the coding and design skills of others
  • Led architectural and design reviews for the feature areas; the reviews surfaced key issues, improved quality, and enabled faster completion of milestones
  • Made sure that best practices for architecture, design, and development (for example, simplicity and correctness) were in place for the feature areas before coding started

Location Shanghai

Key Accountabilities

Technical Excellence:

  • Participate in product spec reviews, design, triage, scheduling, and other product development process
  • Develop comprehensive test plans assuring the overall quality of the project, including functionality, security, performance and scalability
  • Hands-on writing test cases and test code
  • Worked with Development and PM/BAteam to budget for, plan, prioritize, and schedule feature areas to influence appropriate compromises and manage dependencies, which resulted in high quality and timely delivery of the feature areas
  • Identified and adopted new testing methodologies, best practices, and tools from appropriate sources to improve test coverage for multiple feature areas

  • Passion for, and commitment to, software quality
  • Have 6+ years of shipping high quality products (3+ years as people manager) and managed teams through tight release cycles

  • Strong background on Test Automation, Patterns & Practices
