1. Media Systems Manager

Location: Shanghai

Key Accountabilities

Leadership:

  • Mentor, coach, motivate and build a positive culture among the media systems team

2. Applications Architect Manager

Location: Shanghai

Key Accountabilities

Strategic Planning:

  • Be involved in the evaluation and selection of standard platforms and tools for development within China GroupM
  • Developand maintain architectural design guidelines and standards
  • Develop and maintain aroad map for each key application to incorporate continuous architectural improvement
  • Develop and maintain a road map for the integration of key applications
  • Guide the future direction of the application framework
  • Maintain an understanding of industry standard best practices and ensure these are implemented within GroupM applications as applicable

Application Design:

  • Review, suggest areas for improvement and be the final approver for all application design work
  • Ensure architectural design guidelines and standards are followed and all designs incorporate current industry accepted best practices
  • Perform the application design for changes that incorporate architectural improvements and/or implement the standard application framework

Application Review:

  • Proactively review applications to identify potential architectural improvements
  • Perform random coding reviews to ensure applications are being developed as designed and code is of a high quality

Developer Education:

    • Support developers with any questions they may have during the design of an application
    • Hold information sessions to educate developers on new technologies, best practices or other areas identified as helpful

Qualifications

    • Bachelor degree in either Software Engineering or Computer Science is required
    • Microsoft certifications such as MCPD will be highly regarded

Experience and Knowledge

The following experience and knowledge is required to perform the duties of the Applications Architect, China:

  • At least 7 years experience in a software engineering role
  • At least 5 years experienceperforming applications architecture
  • At least 5years experience working with the Microsoft .NET Framework with proficiency in v3.5 or above

3. Development Manager

Location: Shanghai

Key Accountabilities

Leadership:

  • Identify and implement processes that can improve the effectiveness of the development team

    • Participate in the setting of development priorities for future releases with the Project Managers, System Managers
    • Ensure development release planning estimates are prepared for management
      • Discuss and review plans for significant changes with Applications Architect Manager, developers and testers
      • Manage the maintenance of the various elements of the development environment including the core tools, third party add on tools, internal add ons, in house tools

5. QA/Test Manager

Location:Shanghai

Key Accountabilities

Planning:

understanding and using customer scenarios and experience; evaluating testability of designs; accurate project planning; adopting, creating, and driving test methods and practices; and writing effective test plans

  • Strongly advocated for addressing customer expectations about integration with other products and helped the group address shortcomings in the product
  • Created scenarios or personas that better supported customer-focused design
  • Analyzed code across the feature areas to identify design patterns and boundary cases that were at high risk for generating future bugs, leading to a decrease in the number of critical bugs that were generated

  • Have 6+ years of shipping high quality products (3+ years as people manager) and managed teams through tight release cycles
  • A great track record of shipping high quality, scalable software
  • Strong background on Test Automation, Patterns & Practices
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and motivational skills; a “lead by example” attitude.
  • A deep understanding of software development process, demonstrated proficiency in designing test plans, and ability to work effectively both within a team and cross-group to create designs and to identify and manage dependencies, and drive to resolve issues and ship under tight deadlines.
  • Prior product development and in depth hands-on, working knowledge of .NET, C/C++/C#, SQL, and VB6 is a plus
  • Have excellent communication skills and a proven track record of working well with counterparts in Development, PM/BA, and across teams
