Shanghai, November 1, 2010 – Tribal DDB China has appointed Chris Jones to the newly created role of Executive Creative Director, to be based in Shanghai. Chris will answer directly to Michael Dee, Chief Creative Director of DDB China Group, and his appointment is an integral part of DDB China Group’s initiative to strengthen its core digital creative capabilities.
Originally from the UK, Chris has more than 25 years experience in marketing communications and is a veteran of the digital interactive field, having worked for a wide range of multinational communications companies in cities as diverse as Paris, London, Sydney and Hong Kong.
He comes to Tribal DDB China from Ogilvy Amsterdam, where he was Digital Creative Director.
“This new appointment highlights the growth that Tribal is experiencing across both the Beijing and Shanghai offices,” said Michael Dee. “Our ability to acquire key management talent such as Chris further enhances our creative capabilities and opportunities for staff development.”
Throughout his career, Chris has been consistently recognized by his peers in the industry, winning several notable awards for a range of client campaigns, among them International ECHO Leader Awards and the Asian Direct Marketing Awards. He has also participated as a judge for the Cannes Cyber Lions and the Australian Direct Marketing Awards.
