Job Descriptions:

The major responsibility of Creative Director (CD) is leading the creative team to help develop the creativity planning & works for clients. The team includes copy based and art based staff. The role will work with account service team to make sure the client’s needs are being met and the creative objectives are on track.  Also, he need to understand every perspective of Ad campaign based on the client’s marketing plan, conceptualize those ideas for clients, assign projects to team members and guarantee to complete the tasks before the deadlines.

Senior Art Director

Department: Creative
Reports To: Creative Director 

Summary

Produces bold, strategic, and persuasive products in all media for our clients

Responsibility

  • Conceives and executes advertising consistent with the agreed strategy
  • Is responsible for original visual conceptions, for type and art treatments
  • Seeks out and works with photographers, artists, studio in his area of specialization
  • Initiates and manages creative work in Art Studio (and/or outside vendor) and oversees all aspects of job i.e., comps, mechanicals, retouching, disc release, including the management of time and budget
  • Works closely with Production (and/or TV production) to come up with the best possible creative solutions for that job
  • Involves Art Buyer for getting in outside talent (photography, illustration) via portfolios supplying costs and other information
  • Under the direction, and with the approval, of their Group Creative Director, the Art Director sees work through to its production
  • Must also be able to work productively and harmoniously as a teammate with copywriters and production/producers who share the responsibility on the given assignment
  • Participate in and contributes to the new business activities of the agency
  • Responsible for supporting SVP’s leadership within department
  • Complies to quality standards for the team as set forth by the department head
  • Works with supervisor to foster innovative solutions
  • Builds relationship at appropriate client/vender level
  • Works closely with upper management to identify and suggest solutions on how to improve departmental and team morale

Tasks

  • Develops concepts and/or storyboards (for DRTV), collaborating with Production as needed
  • Meets with Account and Traffic who review work in progress and select desired concepts
  • Presents concepts to other corridors if necessary and revise concepts/storyboards according to comments
  • Revises recommendations based on any client comments and share approved recommendations with all departments
  • Generates a Concept Estimate for client presentation (your supervisor’s prior approval is required)
  • Gives input to Traffic to generate a more accurate Key-Date Schedule after concepts are selected (your supervisor’s prior approval is required)
  • Discusses paper with Production prior to Production’s ordering of samples
  • Develops a Spec Sheet in Pre-production meeting with Production, Media, Studio and Strategic Services
  • Creates art list and memo relating details of photo shoots/stock photography
  • Purchases art
  • Holds photo shoot
  • Discusses retouching with Production Manager and client to obtain approval
  • Gives input when image scanned for high resolution and retouching
  • Reviews and presents match print from Production and Studio to client for approval
  • Loads final art into mechanical for final release
  • Works with Copywriter to develop Copy Deck
  • Seeks internal approval of Copy Deck by Creative, Account and other corridors
  • Reviews Copy Deck internally for legal considerations
  • Presents Copy Deck to client and revises copy based on client comments
  • Sends the final copy to Studio
  • Seeks approval from all involved on layout and/or mechanical
  • Works with studio to generate mechanicals
  • Prepares color breaks from color lasers generated from the disk
  • Routes disk with fulfillment piece copy to whoever is handling prop development (if MRM is handling creation and production of the fulfillment piece)
  • Gives schedule updates to Traffic (your supervisor’s prior approval is required)
  • Gives input to Traffic to prepare Formal Estimate (your supervisor’s prior approval is required)
  • Debriefs and presents project team with key findings
  • Participates in weekly departmental staff meetings
  • Keeps supervisor apprised of the status of work

For Senior Art Directors:

  • Presents recommendations with Creative/Strategic Services/Media as appropriate (e.g. creative concepts, research, lists, DRTV scripts, etc.) to client
  • Reviews paper recommendations (weight, color, etc.) and mechanicals with client to obtain approval
  • Works with Art Buyer to get a bid on art required
  • Provides Producer with approved storyboards, job number and air date
  • Works with Art Director, writer and producer to begin production of rough cut

Qualifications

  • Talent, judgment and imagination for the creation and arrangement of the visual elements of an advertisement
  • Skilled in art techniques as well as computer efficient
  • Art education in advertising design and conceptual thinking
  • Previous experience as an Art Director/Associate Art Director
  • Portfolio and reel required to demonstrate creative and technical skills
  • Must have 1+ years of experience within direct marketing or comparable industry
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Computer literate
  • Team player
  • Strong problem solving skills and detail oriented

About the Role:

The Account Manager is responsible for the day-to-day relationship between the agency and clients, as well as creating project plans and guiding projects through development and creative.  The Account Manager will generally look after client needs through direct contact, liaison, and the marshalling of agency resources.
