Senior Account Manager

Department: Client Services
Location: Beijing or Shanghai
Reports To: Account Director

Responsibility:

  • The Senior Account Manager is fundamentally responsible for the day-to-day client contact specific to event marketing activities.  The key areas of focus being:
  • Professional development of creative/messaging.
  • Management of the client relationship.
  • Successful event execution.
  • Responsible event fiscal management.
  • Reporting and communication with the Account Director.

Professional Development of Creative/Messaging:

  • Support interface of Event Managers and Message Engineers with other departmental groups regarding client relations, event objectives, marketing and branding, booth architecture, graphic production and event financial management.

Management of the Client Relationship:

  • Build organizational capabilities to deliver event marketing priorities bottom up and top down. Senior Account Manager needs to own the relationship and cultivate business practices and relationships that exceed client’s expectations. 
  • These include; 1) creating team structures and tools that maximize our ability to achieve flexibility, adaptability and speed. 2) Grow skills and marketing acumen through an investment in training and internal educational tracks. 3) Continue aggressive development of strategic vendors/suppliers to increase our bandwidth within the region.
  • Deliver customer value at all levels of our company.  These include; 1) Enhance event process compliance and understanding.  2) Utilize the client’s specification/guidelines for branded architecture and messaging to achieve common look and feel for branded architecture /messaging in both large and small-scale solutions.  3) Deliver consistent/flawless execution results from all resource groups.  4) Provide strategic value by reviewing event marketing plans for each client with PICO TBA worldwide to enhance client’s portfolio investment objectives to achieve targeted results.
  • Grow relationships with all local clients within the region.  Develop a program to elevate PICO TBA’s communication effectiveness within client’s groups.

Successful Event Execution:

  • Lead the development and implementation of event marketing “Best Practices” based on professional knowledge and experiences.  Chair committee/focus groups and draft business plans. 
  • Participate in team meetings, pre-cons, post-cons, launches and other project planning sessions.  Review data and information from event process and reports for accuracy and to evaluate workflow.

Responsible Event Fiscal Management:

  • Promote responsible event financial management of all PICO TBA and client’s resources.
  • Manage creative/messaging budgets, seeking efficiencies in spending and procedures.

Reporting and Communication with the General Manager:

  • Report weekly on all functions in the region. (i.e. issues and concerns, key initiatives, to-do list, best practices.)
  • Report regularly on all team staff reviews.
  • Build account business plan and report on progress on all goal sets.
  • Chair occasional initiative and report progress to other Senior Account Managers.
  • Report progress of cross-region assistance programs.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in English;
  • 5+ years of event marketing or creative agency management experience;
  • Competent in use of Lotus Notes, 123, Word Pro, Microsoft Office;
  • Sufficiently meets deadlines set forth in project timelines;
  • Ability to manage creative staff;
  • Contributes to the positive “Can-do” attitude of the office;
  • Ability to balance workload and appropriate staff resources as needed.

Senior Graphic Designer

Department: Creative
Location: Beijing or Shanghai
Reports To: Creative Director

Position Summary:

  • Develop creative two-dimensional solutions to fulfill client marketing objectives in a variety of venue applications including customer events, business shows, special events, press events, permanent showrooms, and other environments.
  • Function within a team environment to collaborate in design process and implementation of project needs.
  • Integrate the graphic design process with message content to create branded graphic solutions. When appropriate, develop entertainment and/or theatrical applications for live presentations.
  • Actively participate in project and department meetings and brainstorming sessions, providing graphic design perspective.
  • Develop brand graphic solutions to create integration with client and agency marketing communication objectives.
  • Demonstrate ability to support interdisciplinary working team through the project process from discovery to delivery.
  • Perform as a mentor and senior level designer, Showcase as a role model to peer.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Consult daily with Creative Director on status update of current project(s).
  • Demonstrate ability to simultaneously manage multiple client projects and meet all critical path parameters, as well as all budgetary objectives.
  • Demonstrate ability to interact with clients in a senior creative role, including brainstorming meetings and input sessions.
  • Assume creative position in presentations, and choreograph a well-organized thought process communicating the conceptual thought behind work.
  • Collaborating with teams of diverse event marketing professionals interpreting client information, market issues, consumer and business needs into successful messages, graphic communications in exhibits, events, AV and collateral.
  • Creative development and communication of brand positioning and audience specific messages within exhibit, event and business show environments.
  • Active participation with other designers and outside resources in the creation, assembly and preparation of presentations.
  • Active participation with outside agencies, and PICO TBA design and production studios
  • Maintain all administration needs, as required, including job time records, expense reports, and vacation schedules.

Continually seek opportunities to expand international knowledge base for application on PICO TBA client programs, including:

  • Travel to shows, both domestic and international for site support.
  • Demonstrate willingness to assist other PICO TBA studios on an as-needed basis

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor Graphic Designers and manage graphic vendor on projects and other initiatives.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • College degree from accredited school.  Major in Advertising, Graphic Design, Digital design, Visual Communications or related curriculum;
  • Strong portfolio of high-caliber work;
  • Proven graphic design and a plus with sketching skills;
  • Broad based design experience in two dimensional or digital and familiarity in three dimensional design including: Identity systems, collateral and environmental graphic design;
  • Demonstrable understanding of marketing and business problem solving to map strategic options;
  • Committed to excellence in design and clear communication skills;
  • 5+ years of experience at an in-house or agency studio;
  • Proficiency in both Chinese and English languages is preferred;
  • Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously.

Strategic Planning Director

Location: Shanghai
Reports To: General Manager

Job Requirements:

  • Lead the strategic planning effort to compliment BTL initiatives and bring strong foundation to uncover:
  • Fresh and innovative insights/business opportunities
  • Inspiring creative ideas in digital, PR, interactive, CRM, and others.
  • Partner with creative and account management peers to develop business-winning ideas at all points of customer contact.
  • Ensure strong collaborative relationship within the groups.
  • Orchestrate externally with partners to consistently elevate the quality of thinking and ideas applied to the client business.
  • Crafts creative briefs and provides clear persuasive briefings to creative colleagues.
  • Create and support opportunities for new business.

Qualifications / Skills:

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in international planning environment with 2 years in management position.
  • Integrated marketing planning experience preferred.
  • Marketing background and strong marketing trends’ insight/analytical skills.
  • Ability to think creatively and evidence of success in developing brands and delivering them to market.
  • Works well under pressure in multi-dimensional context
  • Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking Mandarin and English.

Position Summary: 

  • Develop creative solutions to fulfill client marketing objectives in variety of venue applications including auto shows, trade shows, special events, press events, permanent showrooms, and executive receptions.
  • Function within a team environment to collaborate in design process and implementation of project needs.
  • Integrate design process with message content to create branded event marketing solutions. When appropriate, develop entertainment and/or theatrical applications for live presentations or digital and new media application.
  • Actively lead participants in project and department meetings and brainstorming sessions, providing 360 creative solutions.
  • Develop brand environment solutions to create integration with client and agency marketing communication objectives.
  • Demonstrate ability to lead interdisciplinary working team through the project process from discovery to delivery.
  • Perform as a monitor and senior creative personal to team, Showcase as a role model to peer.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Consult daily with studio Creative Director on status update of current project(s).
  • Interface with all internal / external departments on an as-needed basis to ensure all project objectives are met, including project objective, messages, budget estimating, production, media applications and event services.
  • Meet budget expectations, including both fabrication event services on all projects.
  • Provide thorough information packages to estimating, including all drawing specifications and written documentation, as required.
  • Attend appropriate client meetings, including input sessions and intermediate presentations.
  • Actively participate in final client presentations, including assuming total responsibility for assembly of all creative materials required to present concept(s) and descriptions, as appropriate.

Participate in skill enhancement training, including but not limited to:

  • Hand sketches
  • Computer software (especially presentation related)
  • Oral presentation skills
  • Listening skills
  • PICO TBA orientation/training sessions
  • Maintain all administration needs, as required, including job time records, expense reports, and vacation schedules.
  • Provide assistance and recommendations to R&D Specialist to maintain current database of research source material for project application.

Digital Specialist

Department: Digital Services
Location: Beijing or Shanghai
Reports To: Digital Services Director

Responsibility:

  • Manage timeline and scope for digital projects.
  • Cost estimations and cost controlling.
  • Coordinate with internal resources, vendors and clients to ensure the projects meet the requirements.
  • Train assigned Event Manager for digital projects.
  • Assist Digital Services Director and Account Managers in pitching, researching, and reporting.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in English/Chinese;
  • Competency in use of Lotus 123, Word Pro, Microsoft Office;
  • Sufficiency meets deadlines set forth in project timelines;
  • Ability to balance work load (including requesting additional resources when required);
  • Contributes to the positive “can-do” attitude of the office;
